I did this one just on a scrap piece of computer paper during grad school...over 2 years ago. Wow, time flies.
I decided I need to make an effort to paint more. I can start to feel the creativeness bubbling up and wanting to surge through my hands and eyes. Sometimes I make excuses for my lack of produced art because I don't feel like I have the "right" materials or supplies that are "nice enough" to warrant a full-fledged painting. But hey, if I'm already converted to $7.99 paint sets why not bust out any old scrap paper and get to work? Come on, Sam, get with the program.
There's such a great satisfaction that comes from being happy with something you alone have brought into creative existence. I could use some more of that "I made it!" goodness in my life.

I LOVE elder Uchtdorf's words on creating. Your post reminded me of them!
