a little me therapy

Days like today make me feel ok that I don't have a baby. (At least, that's what I'm telling myself.)

I have the day off, all to myself, to do whatever my heart desires. I slept in, did some cleaning, laundry, got dinner started in the crock pot (am I a legit wife or what?!) and then...I started a painting. And, for the first time in way too long, I'm doing art just for the joy of the process. Ironically, the painting is about wanting a baby. (Oops.)

When I needed a sunshine break, I walked to the Starbucks around the corner. Sipped a vanilla steamer on the way home.
And if you're thinking those paints look like I bought them at Michael's- you're right. I decided a few years ago that expensive, name brand paints are overrated.

Well, my painting is waiting. Maybe I'll finish it tomorrow and show you.

Good for you! You've mentioned before that it's so hard to get motivated to start painting, but once you do it's so wonderful....I feel the same way. Today I painted too, and it was a good day.

Please show your painting soon...I can't wait to see it.
