oh hi.

This is me. If you can't tell, I'm killing all automated phone systems with this gun.

Basically, this has been my life the last week and a half:

1. We got robbed.
2. I'm on the phone navigating through automated systems.
3. This morning, after call #4 of the day, I finally lost it and yelled at the annoying pleasant computer woman to shut up and let me speak to a real human being.
4. Breathe.
5. Make more calls.

Have you ever noticed how even after you finally get to speak with a living, breathing person you either can't understand them fully, they end up not knowing how to help you, or they "help you" which you later find out means they actually didn't do anything or did something totally wrong.

I squeezed the heck outta that stress ball while charting my group notes during work. Also, probably I let out not one, but two, crazy person screams on the drive home. Sometimes it really is the only thing to do.

If anything, my intense volcano emotions gave me a new level of empathy for the teenagers I work with. Maybe I should remember what we tell the kids: it's ok to be angry but it's not ok to hurt others.

In the end, I guess it's a good thing automated telephone answering systems aren't real people.
Bang. Bang.

Once I yelled at the automated machine and it switched me over to an actual operator. So now whenever I'm using an automated machine I kind of half yell/mumble something about wanting to speak to a real person in case it has some angry tone trigger that pushes me through!

Screaming in the car really does help! I've done it once or twice! Sorry you have to deal with all this stuff. No fun at all.

I hate those things! Sorry about you. I do way too many crazy person screams these days. Turns out... 3 year olds know how to try my patience. haha. Love you!

I feel your pain. I hate dealing with phones. pressing 0 usually gets you right to a real person tho. Hope you have a less stressful weekend!

Bahaha! So true. When my 1st laptop back in college went crazy and the hardware fried, I had to call customer service and was set up with a consultant in INDIA. For two days off and on, I had to have hour-long conversations with him. I'm not technology-minded at all, so, not my idea of a good time. xoxo
