Meet Liz, my littlest sister.
She's 14 years old and basically amazing.
Liz is that girl who is good at everything. She kills at sports, is an awesome artist, a natural-born dancer, and brilliant actress. Liz was the class Valedictorian and spoke at her graduation. She's popular because she's genuinely nice to everyone and probably also because she stole the show as Liesl in the school's musical.
Oh yeah. And I want to steal all her clothes. When she tells me she likes my outfit, I feel like I just found out that the super cool kid at school actually knows my name.
But here's the greatest thing about Liz.
Ten days before she was about to start her last year of 6th grade and rule the elementary school with her friends, her biggest sister decided to get a divorce. My parents felt it would be best for me to have family support in Oregon while I went through the divorce process and started my last year of grad school. That meant Liz would be asked to pack her bags, get in the car with my mom, and move to Oregon. She suddenly found herself the new kid, enrolled in middle school for the first time. She was so brave, so willing to sacrifice everything she knew to be familiar in order to serve her sister.
I will always love Liz in a very special, unique way for what she did for me during that time in my life. I didn't know it at the time, but I needed her there. I needed her love and support. I needed her witty humor. I needed her optimism. I needed her willingness to sing at the top of her lungs with me to the High School Musical soundtrack.
So thanks for being the greatest littlest sistie ever, Liz.
And feel free to return that flower cardi whenever.
(Actually, it's neither of ours. Apparently we both just like shopping in sister Hailey's closet. Ahhh...sisters...)

Is she a dancer? Cuz she should be! She looks so flexible and looks a lot like you :) Yay for little sisters!
Aw!! I love it! So- is she 14 and graduated high school? Or was she valadictorian for elementary school? Love her outfit and love this picture. First thing I thought when I saw it was- she must be a dancer. :)
Ahhh... your sister is cute. What a sweet post.
Your family is amazing to have supported you like that and I totally can't imagine having siblings like that. I can't imagine how much your parents must love and trust you to put you in charge of such a special girl.
i LOVED this sam. like. literally gave me chills.
She's adorable :) makes me miss my sister!
That's so great. My youngest sister is 14 as well and a super-talented singer. Even though we're 10 years apart, I have a special bond with her. She'll always be Baby Emma to me!
This is so sweet! What a blessing to have such a wonderful relationship with your sister!
I also can't get over that picture! The girl has moves! ;)
Aww that's gorgeous! She is really pretty :D
She's so pretty! And you can def. tell she's a dancer! So jealous! I bet she's a wonderful sister and it's great that you two have had so many good memories together. :)
Awww, little sisters! They can be a pain in the b***, but usually they are the best! I love mine as well... Hope, she doesn't read it, tho. ;-)
Lots of love. XO.
How bizarre! I just got off the phone with my youngest sister who is 14 and the youngest of five (I am the eldest)! I feel exactly the same way about her - - she is an amazing person and we've always had a special relationship. Families are the best! :-)
as a youngest sister who can be super selfish, this is extra impressive to me.
So sweet!

You girls look so much alike and are SO beautiful! So my brother is 13 years old and does NOT go to school with girls as grown up looking as Liz!!
that was beautiful. and so are both of you!
I'm so glad that she was able to be there for you during that time! Sounds like it was such a blessing! She is absolutely adorable! What a great tribute to Liz!
Don't forget to mention what an incredible Leisel she is! I was so impressed. I loved watching those Von Trapp children!!
I have a relationship like that with my little sis - I didn't go through a divorce, I'm so sorry you had to go through that, but I did break off my engagement, and she got home from her mission just after everything happened. She has been there for me every step of the way - not sure what I would do without her... or her clothes. :) Loves to you.
So sweet! You're lucky to have her!
Love this post so much! I too have a "little sister" and at times when I wanted to shut the entire world out, she was there. And even if I didn't know it or realize it, I really did need her.
Sisters are amazing.
xo
