In case you didn't know...

I love Chas.
Sometimes it just hits me all at once.
KAPOW! I LOVE CHAS!

This almost always happens when we're about to fall asleep and when we're waking up in the morning.
Take for example...

♥ When we're all tucked in at night and I tell him it's too hot for the second blanket, he gets out of bed and takes the blanket off.
Then, five minutes later, when I tell him it's too cold, he gets out of bed and puts the second blanket back on.
And, just when he's falling asleep, he happily gets out of bed to bring me a drink of water and even does a funny/weird little jig as he serves it to me.

(And yes, I am five years old.)

♥ He sings me lullabies. Some of his lullabies are pretty silly. I love those Chas Kelly originals.

♥ He willingly goes to Nursery and church all by himself when I wake up Sunday morning feeling sick.

♥ Come to think of it, I don't think I've ever heard Chas whine or complain about anything. Ever.
Jeeze louise.

♥ He sings me lullabies. In the morning, too.
What can I say? I just can't get enough.

Basically, I just wanted to take a moment to say that being in a wonderfully happy, healthy, and loving marriage is the best dang thing in the universe.
End of story.

i must say i was pretty impressed to see him in there, taking on all of the natives by himself, this morning. that's one good man, you've got there. and vice versa. but woman.

I had one of those moments last night when the hubby was at work. I just stopped, thought about him and a huge rush of love and excitement came over me. I then starred at our wedding picture and thanked God for such a beautiful marriage.

Sam! Thanks so much for the follow (:

I'm loving your blog. first, because it's just plain awesome. And second, the fact that you're an art therapist makes me positively giddy inside, since it's what I'm seriously considering doing with my life!

you made my day :)

How sweet! He is a keeper! I loved reading this post because I decided to start a "Marriage Mondays" series. I think sometimes its easy to focus on the hard times, especially in a society where divorce is the norm. I would love to hear more about you and your hubs so stop by :)

basically "ditto" all of the above comments, haha.
I too have those moments that are just like BAM! there it is! I love Chase! (so close to your Chas, haha, maybe it has to do with the name :)
If he notices these moments from the way I am looking at him he says "Oh Geez! You love me a lot, don't you?"

:) So happy you found Chas and that he is so good to you. you deserve it. Life is good isn't it?

What a wonderful tribute. I don't hear/read a lot of people saying nice things about their spouses, which is too bad. I love that you two treasure each other.

It sounds like you are blessed with a great guy!

you are blessed! there is a book by Sheldon Vanauken called A Severe Mercy in which he tells of his love story with his wife. The two of them defined courtesy as 'a cup of water in the night' and that was sort of their baseline for how they wanted to treat one another. Your post reminded me of that!
