it's almost October but still hot and green outside

This is how I want it to look.
(Photos taken last Fall.)

I wore pants, leg warmers, and boots yesterday.

Getting dressed that morning, I thought to myself,
"I'll show you, hot weather! I'm gonna dress like it's below 50 and there's nothing you can do about it! Hehe..."

Then I went to the UofU's employee appreciation day and spent hours outside walking around in the sun.
And died.

Weather: 1
Sam: 0

So while I try to wait patiently for the weather to cooperate and stop being such a dummy, I thought I'd make a little list of my favorite things about this magical season:

First, and foremost- pumpkin flavored everything. Wins every time.
Getting to wear multiple layers and cute boots. (But let's not talk anymore about that.)
A fun holiday to look forward to every month.
The leaves. Oh the leaves!
Snuggling up with hot chocolate.

Oh!
And you know what else I absolutely love!?

...pumpkin flavored everything.

Did I mention that already?

Exactly! Where is Autumn?? We're having some kind of insane last minute heat wave in England. It's actually hotter now than it's been all summer! P.s. I likes your pink shoes.

No no no!! The weather has been just PERFECT this week! We are going to have like 9 solid months of freazing miserable weather... I'm ok if this warm spell will last for like a whole nother month :) But I'm pretty sure you're going to get your fall weather this weekend, plus a storm. Dang it. :)

I want Fall too!! I want crisp air and pink cheeks! The last couple days, my husband hasn't understood why its taken so long for me to get dressed in the morning. Its take so long because I spent so much time willing it to be cool outside so I can layer up and don my boots!

It's been so humid here; I hate it! I can't wait for the weather to get cooler, because I've already put away my summer clothes. Oh, and pumpkin everything is delicious!

It's still hot some days here in North Carolina. No leaves on the ground yet, and I'm so looking forward to it. and I agree on the pumpkin flavored everything. I'm not a big caffeine drinker right now, but I've been having to let myself get some starbucks just for the pumpkin coffee's, yum!

I've been wearing scarves to try and force it to be cool, but then it's still over 90 and I'm wearing a scarf. Gah. Autumn, wear are you??

You remind me of a co-worker...she is OBSESSED with everything pumpkin and has already gotten her fix of pumpkin soup and bagels. She is already talking about everything else pumpkin.

We are having a high of 60 here this weekend, so I hope to break out some leggings and boots myself!

I love how your shoes almost blend in to the 2nd fall picture you took!

Haha. I've been dressing warm and expecting the weather to match my dress code. It's not working! I love pumpkin everything too! In a couple of weeks my sister and cousin are hosting a pumpkin party! We've been collecting every pumpkin recipe we can possibly find on Pinterest. I'm so excited!!

Sonic pumpkin pie shakes = heaven in a cup.

I always get this wild idea to wear a cardigan on General Conference weekend and I always regret it. April and October. It's usually still scorching here during the first week of those months. Yet I still try. Something is wrong with me.

Ahh fall is amazing, Sam. And pumpkins are the bomb. That you know. ;D

Hello cute friend!

I haven't commented in a while, so I felt like I just needed to stop real quick let you know that I read your blog everyday and I'm LOVING as much as ever!

:)

I was so sad to hear that you were a victim of blog bullying last week--why are people so mean?! You are amazing and I totally back you up on the Legally Blonde quote! :)

Also, that is SO AWESOME that you are writing a book. That is one of my greatest aspirations. I love that picture on your "on writing a book" post, too. Your skin is FLAWLESS. I'm jealous!

Okay, sorry this comment is so all over the place and totally random...but yeah, I LOVE YOU! Oh shoot...did I go too far? ;)
