a keeper

Earlier this week, I felt very stressed, frustrated, and discouraged. Then I got my period...almost a whole week late. (Needless to say, Chas and I were already convinced by then that I was pregnant.)

All this happened on a Monday.
(Why are Mondays always the worst?)

Then Chas had to work late that night.

Probably six seconds after he walked in the door, I was in shambles.
You know. Just your average meltdown.

Chas is really good at hugging me, listening to me, and not trying to just solve my problems when I'm in meltdown mode.
In fact, when he's sensed that I'm upset about something, he's been known to ask me, albeit somewhat hesitantly, "Ummm...Sam? Do you need to let out some good cryings?"

This most recent crying episode was no different.
Only this time, he willingly skipped his fantasy football draft so he could play active meltdown support.
And that, my friends, is no small sacrifice.

I think I'll keep him around.

There's nothing like a guy that will drop everything to come hold you when you need him. Plus, my boyfriend's slightly panicked expression is always good for a laugh or two after the meltdown is over. I always give him bonus points for that.

It's so nice to have that kind of support at home. Those pictures are beautiful!

I agree: Keep him! Those kind of loving and supporting men don't come around very often.

He is definitely a keeper! It makes such a big difference to have someone to support you and just listen to you and understand you are having a lousy day and not just tell you to suck it up and deal with it. Sometimes we just need those stressed-out-this-stinks feelings validated. He's a good one. Go Chas!!

Support is so important. My husband and I just suffered a miscarriage, and along with God, he has been my strength, even though we are both sad.

WOW. I'm just getting initiated into the all-consuming madness that is fantasy football, and although I know that my husband would miss it to be with me, I also know that would be HUGE. Definitely a keeper.

It's so great to have a husband that will drop everything just to let you let it out. Always remember to appreciate him! We are lucky girls to have great husbands!
