Young People Style: being a real wife

Sam:
top: TJ Maxx, skirt and belt: F21, boots: Nine West, cuff: gift

Chas:
v-neck and cardigan: F21, jeans: Target, shoes: Vans

I'm turning over a new leaf in wife-dom.
It's called Sam-cooks-dinner-all-by-herself-and-has-it-ready-for-Chas-when-he-gets-home.

You should also know that I'm starting to do the grocery shopping alone as well.
I went on Tuesday and I'm still proud of myself.

Chas and I have always done the shopping and cooking together so this is kinda a big deal, guys.
(Speaking of which, where's my awesome wife trophy?)

Chas is very appreciative of this new leaf.
He calls it service and I like that.
Then I remind Chas that his working everyday is a service, too, and he smiles.

So basically we're both just really good people.

AWWWW! What a good wifey! I think many wives forget that their husbands work very hard too. It's good to let them know (and to show them) how appreciative we are....

i should do this too. i am a slightly lazy wife sometimes and it doesn't help that hubs encourages me.

Haha I know the feeling! I feel like so much better of a wife when my husband can come home to a nice dinner and a clean home.

Yay for good wives!

My husband usually gets home way too early to already have dinner ready, so I've only gotten to do that once. But tomorrow's supposed to be a long day for him so we can be good wives together! I'm definitely thinking peach cobbler. :)

My future husband is gonna be one lucky guy. When he gets home I'll make sure I got the toasted cheese sandwiches on the table. My culinary skills are to die for.

And so is that skirt!

much love x

I remember when I too turned over this new leaf of wife-dom. And like you, it was a little bit daunting. But, with practice and a lot of patience, I have become, what I consider, a pro chef here in our neck of the woods. Congratulations on this new form of service :)

You're an inspiration!! I don't know which I should try and conquer first; being a cute wife who always looks put together, or the whole dinner-being-ready-when-hubba-comes-home. It's a toss up!

Hooray for domesticity! Right now I'm the only one who works (Rob goes to school) but I work from home so I try to help with the cooking/cleaning. Generally it's all done together but if I ever am a SAHM or am not working for one reason or another, I hope I can make dinner too :)

How cute is this?! Nathan and I do pretty much everything together so whenever one of us does something like grocery shopping online, it's weird. In a good way... but still weird.

How do you get your hubby to pose so nice? Mine is a real stick-in-the-mud about getting photos taken. I think it's great he's so into it.

So cute! Are you at home because of school vacation? Is service a Mormon thing? Sounds so special!

Clio said...

but you work too don't you?? why should you have to make the dinner? No one should 'serve' their husband..

Cute photos!
That's great that you want to start cooking for your hubby. Not that you have to.
It's always hard for me to cook dinner. Not the actual cooking part(even though I'm still learning), but to think of things to cook.
I always end up eating the same thing night after night!
