Dear little cryings, 

I wonder who you'll resemble more and what your personality will be like.

I really hope you get your daddy's dark, long lashes and tall skinniness. 

For your sake.

Trust me on this one. 

But even if the curse of my blondy lashes and baby-face knees befalls you, I hope there will be lots of Chas' personality deep inside you. 

Because that's what I'm most thankful for this Thanksgiving. 

I hope, little cryings, you'll be gentle, meek, and patient like him. 

I hope you'll show your love by easily serving others and always seeing the good before criticizing. 

I hope you'll be confident in yourself with nothing to prove. 

And when others around you are struggling, you'll be able to listen well and then know just what to say like he always does.
