DIY garden

True story!

We're still talking about how much we loved spending a beautiful Saturday evening together working on our latest "project."

And now, not only are we growing a little human, but we're also growing lettuce, green and orange bell peppers, basil, tomatoes, and raspberries!

Grow babies, grow.

What fun! I wish we had a spot for a garden!

I love it! I hope everything turns out great! You two are just the cutest!

This is our second year planting a garden. Last year it did really well. This year in Texas we did not have a winter so the BUGS are Atrocious! Literally our plants are being eaten alive... :( I just really want our tomatoes to make it since that is what we really love.

You've inspired me! I really want to do a square foot garden like this in my backyard. It's already getting hot, though, so I'll probably have to wait until the fall!

Okay, I think you have given me the inspiration I need. I am definitely going to make time this weekend to plant my herb garden--it's been in the back of my mind for a while. Thanks for the push!

I wish I had some dirt so I could plant things! Maybe I'll get something going in my little mason jars. :)

where did you find starter plants for cheap? at lowes when i've looked, raspberries are like 6+, and then each tomato and pepper plant and spice plants are like 4. We decided to go with seeds this year because we've got a huge garden space and couldn't afford to buy enough plants to fill the whole space. Anyway, good luck with your garden!

That looks great! We can't grow here in our very concrete apartment complex - tough for this country bumpkin! I miss the lettuce, zuchinni, tomatoes, strawberries, lemons, and herbs straight from the garden back home!

It's so much fun to grow your own food! Good luck with the new garden and don't get discouraged- in our first gardening year, we found out just how much wild life we have living in our yard because they'd all come out at night to eat the veggies...
