hope

This is the Provo Tabernacle.

Hands down, the best building in Provo, Utah. Two summers ago, I lived just down the street from the tabernacle. I'd ride bikes past it, walk around it, have stake conference in it. I loved this building with all my heart.

Then something tragic happened. The tabernacle caught on fire and burned and burned and burned. Pretty sure all of Utah is grieving this loss. Why couldn't the NuSkin building have burned to the ground? No fair.

After the flames subsided, firefighters found this painting.
Look closely.

Kinda makes me wanna cry. Happy tears.
It reminds me that Christ is always there for us, no matter what.

Wow! That is pretty crazy that picture burned that way. Such a shame though the building burned. :(

It really is so sad to see it gone like that! I remember in my first photography class taking pictures out side of it and on it's stairs..not to mentions the conferences, graduation parties, and so on! <3

SO sad! Such a beautiful building. And very cool picture. I bet it will turn out ok though. Heavenly Father has a way of making us grow, even if it means a building has to burn.

Wow!! That is seriously amazing. I don't live in Utah and had never heard of this building before this happened, but honestly I felt compelled to read up on its history and I feel so so sad for this loss. It is already a beautiful building, but so many people's memories of it go far beyond its aesthetic appeal. This post is truly beautiful.
