loving right now

IMG_7915.jpg

(Oh hi, static in the hair.)

Just a few little things that I'm loving:

♥ Being the teacher in front of a new class of college kids.

♥ Being reminded that I'm actually a college professor. A realization that makes me feel ever so proud of myself. A realization that will never grow old.

♥ Making belgian waffles tonight for dins with Chas.

♥ Wanting to make belgian waffles last night after midnight but restraining. Again, I'm proud of myself.

♥ Working with a great designer to give this blog a new look. Get excited.

♥ Being friends with TSwift on twitter. I'm friends with her, not just a follower, ok?

My sister's due date is in less than 1 week. Words cannot express how excited I am to meet baby Banks.

♥ Attempting to thrift with Chas. We lasted 6 minutes before deciding we were outta our league and had no idea what we were doing. Can someone teach us?

♥ Putting a bunch of moola towards grad school loans. (Actually, that's happy and sad at the same time.)

♥ Summertime backyard BBQs with new friends who I adore.

♥ New friends. (Just felt like that one deserved it's own, separate mention.)

If you learn about thrifting could you please give me a lesson or two? I totally suck at it. And woohoo for a new design! I've considered working with a designer too...

Also the thrifting...I thrift for most of my clothes and it's to look around and to know when you have a good deal!! I'm not sure how to thrift for furniture or kitchen appliances though...: ( sorry!

Love your list!

Belgium waffles sound to die for right now..... Thanks for giving me a craving to get my hubby to fulfill. Of course it is along with chipotle and Papa John's pizza. *If I ate them all in one meal, do you think I would enjoy it? Probably not, maybe waffles for breakfast, chipotle for lunch, and Papa John's for dinner...WIN, WIN!

Oh and I wouldn't say I am a thrifter, but I do go to consignments, resale, pawn shops, and antique stores. I pretty much go with the rule : that if it is cheap and I love it; it is a good deal.
That has always seem to work with me. A lot of my friends are shocked when I tell them how much I spent. Oh yeah, and you have to dig and look in places somewhat regularly. :)

Have a good day, now that I wrote you a mini-book to read!

I need to learn to thrift too! I also need to learn how to take pictures with my fiance like that! We are no good at taking photos of ourselves (or did someone take that photo for you?).

College professor?! I'd love to do that. I'm in graduate school right now to become a high school teacher but sometimes I wonder why I don't just go for college.... maybe I will one day. :)

Now I want Belgian Waffles!! Belgian Waffles with Bacon! ;)

I agree with what Summer Inc said in regards to thrifting. If you love it and it's a good deal, perfect!!

A rule that I go by is to go with an open mind. You'll be surprised with what you discover when you're not being specific. Oh...and dig deep into the piles. ;) Most treasures hide there.
