my kind of camping

I'm not what you would call a happy camper.
But, Friday night, was ideal Sam camping.

(That's my husband.)

First we drove up the canyon and saw a moose.
We didn't see that deer but apparently our friend with the camera did.

When we got to the cabin (re: couches and running water), we walked (a hike!) to a nearby cabin's zip line.

Then, back at the cabin, another friend made the yummiest pasta dinner I've ever had and another friend made peach and blueberry cobbler with ice cream.
(We have lots of friends.)

After we ate, we drove back home and slept in our bed.
And then we woke up in our bed. And showered in the morning. In our house.

I love camping.

Haha! That kind of camping is nice. But I like the rugged kind too. :) I just like camping. I love that moose picture!

Hahaha... you camping wuss. Ok, I'll admit it. I like your kind of camping too, but don't tell my husband. ;)

That does sound ideal! Especially with good friends and yummy food. My whole family loves camping and I try really hard to love it, but...I'd always rather be at home in my nice clean bed. We went hiking yesterday and ran into a coiled up rattlesnake that was rattling its tail at us!! ...and I remembered why I have a hard time with embracing mother nature.

Love your cardigan.

A moose! They are such weird but awesome creatures!

I love rope swings. My uncle had one on his farm, which was swung over a river. We always had competitions to see who could hold on the longest and not fall into the freezing water.

reasons this post made me smile big time:
-you look infectiously happy!
-the food sounds uh.may.zing!
-your husbands face.duh.
-that your ideal camping is the complete opposite to mine...you see i'm one of those weird types that actually LOVES being in a tent and bathing in the river and make camp fires ;)

Hehe, I totally agree- daytime camping is the best! Especially if there is cobbler involved!

Hahaha I always tell Rob that I'm not a huge fan of camping because I grew up in the woods! Nature is not some foreign entity to me, I can enjoy her right from my childhood home. :) Glad you guys had fun!

Soooo fun & so delicious. I think that if I saw a moose, I'd peed my pants. Now, a deer on the other hand, my car has already seen one of those (bummer).

I'm pretty sure I have a bag that says "I love NOT camping." But. Your trip looks fun, and I really only PRETEND to be girly about it.

that is my kind of camping too - only I prefer a five star hotel to my house and I don't need to see any wild life. ;)

Totally my idea of camping, too. I don't do tents. At all or ever. And I NEED to have running water so I can wash my hands. Too many things require clean hands, namely: eating, flossing, removing contacts from eyeballs ...

That sounds so perfect! :) Glad you had a good time!
