Expressions of Love

Watch closely.
You might see a familiar face...or two.

Remember this post and how Chas helped film this Mormon Message?
There are definite perks to having a husband who's a filmmaker and super cute. People want him behind the camera and in front of it.

I'm just along for the ride.

When I was a Mormon missionary, I ended up in an elevator with Elder Scott. I remembered a time when I was a child, and he and his wife visited our family in Costa Rica when my dad was a mission president down there. His wife brought us a bag of Peanut M&M's because she knew how hard it was to get American candy in Central America. I told him how much that meant to me and my sister, who were still a little homesick for the United States. I told him that story in the elevator and he smiled and thanked me and told me he would tell his wife about it.

About a month later, I read the she had died after a battle with cancer. It was such a witness to me of a loving Heavenly Father, who would use me to pass on a message to him about the kindness of his wife right at a time when he knew she was sick and dying. He didn't even realize she had done it and I was able to pass along a "new" story to him about her goodness.

you forgot to warn me that i'd cry during this. like not just one little tear. more like what is your problem, why are you crying this hard type of cry. it was so good and you two just too perfect for that.

Um.. this made me tear up! You two are adorable and so were all the other couples. Elder Scott's story is the cutest and saddest thing, too.

Oh my goodness! I stumbled across your blog and thought you looked like the couple in the Expressions of Love video! So I went to youtube and paused it on your picture, and compared it to pictures on your blog until I came to this! I love realizing weird connections!
