bidding summer farewell with friends

The snow cone shack up the street closes this weekend.
Summer is leaving us and it's taking the snow cones with it.

And...
I'm going back today with friends for another.

It's just you and me, Tiger's Blood.
We're not over yet.

For us its the local ice cream shops- no more local, homemade scoops 'til next year. Of any season transition though, this is the most welcome, because when we lose snow cones and ice cream shops we get FALL as a consolation- SO worth it. :)

Happy Last Day of Snow Cone-ing! Hope your weekend is a good one! Does the advent of pumpkin pie sort of make up for the lack of snow cones? Take comfort in that thought.

I just went an entire (for the third year in a row?) Summer without one snowcone... crime?

Yummy.

That jammied baby is adorable and those houndstooth leggings? I WANT THEM. Do they come in non-toddler sizes?

And, also, I realize this post has nothing to do with kids and fashion but I couldn't help but notice the cuteness. :)

DID YOU KNOW that Utah has snow cone ordinances that state you can only sell snow cones between Memorial Day and Labor Day? True. And unfortunate.

If you are ever in Arizona, let me know and I will take you to get the best shaved ice of your LIFE.
