This morning, Chas taught me how to hock a loogie.

I've been getting over a bad cold and am in desperate need of this skill in the morning.

Still in my jammies, I stood in front of the bathroom sink with Chas while he first demonstrated.
Try to breathe from the back of your throat.
Make your voice go really low.
Now push it up and out.

I hocked.
And gagged.
And spit.
And spit again.
And had a coughing attack.

Chas laughed.

I'm still learning.

So this morning wasn't as darling as Monday's but that's ok.
Still special. In it's own gross way.

First thought was TITANIC! plus, rose wasn't pregnant.

This is so cute!

Is it weirdly disgusting I think sharing how to hock a loogie between a husband and wife is cute... Maybe that says something about my humor. Anyways, I hope you feel better soon.

titanic was the first thing on my mind too! maybe cause i just watched it last night, but still.

i can't spit either. i think it's a special talent they teach boys in gym class in elementary school while we go learn about periods and weddings and girly things.

You two are hilarious. And awesome! :] I have totally had my husband try to teach me how to spit but I haven't gotten quite as good as him just yet.

Yeah, I didn't realize until I was an adult that this isn't a normal skill for girls to have. I grew up with males so I knew how to do this, by most likely default, since birth.
